Security Guard - $28.84 /hour

Securitas Canada is seeking a vigilant and dedicated individual to ensure the safety and security of a secure private facilities. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through various tasks and duties, including:

• Manage access control, badge programming, CCTV, and emergency monitoring systems.
• Extensive interior and exterior foot patrols.
• Deterring theft and vandalism.
• Preventing unauthorized access.
• Enforcing client regulations.
• Responding to emergency calls.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication skills. Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset but is not required.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

Applicants must be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top-Secret Security Clearance. The process requires you to provide documentation covering at least 10 years of recent Canadian residency, employment, travel, education, and other relevant history.

This is an invasive process conducted by Government Security Officials and will require:

• Honest and sincere disclosure of detailed personal information
• A personal security interview
• Interviews with neighbors, colleagues, and/or friends
• Submission to:
• Criminal Background Check (including fingerprints)
• Polygraph Testing
• Psychological Testing
• Complete Credit Check, including full financial disclosure of assets and debts

QUALIFICATIONS:

• No Security Guard License required at the time of application.
• Must be reliable, mature, and available to work either days and/or nights as operationally required.
• All applicants will be required to work 12-hour shifts from 0600-1800 or 1800-0600 upon commencement.
• Must be able to conduct both interior and exterior patrols during both day and night shifts.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Word, email, and access control software, etc.
• Education in Police Foundation, Correctional Worker, Security Management, or related university-level education is preferred but is not required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
