Job Overview:

The QHSE Technician will support the implementation and maintenance of Primoris Renewable Energy's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system across various projects. This role focuses on ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure Organizational Safety standards are met.
  • Promote Safety Awareness among personnel through training, briefings, and effective Safety Communications.
  • Verify Safety Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company-specific requirements.
  • Participate in accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to enhance Personnel Safety.
  • Contribute to the ongoing Safety Evaluation of existing programs and suggest improvements for continuous Safety Assurance.
  • Maintain accurate records related to safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Support the QHSE Manager in implementing and maintaining the overall Safety Management system.
  • Prepare and deliver safety-related reports and presentations as required.
  • Ensure all personnel are aware of and adhere to established Safety Procedures.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably within the renewable energy or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote Organizational Safety and Personnel Safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective Safety Communications.
  • Proficiency in conducting Safety Evaluation and ensuring Safety Assurance.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce Safety Compliance requirements.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining Safety Management systems and Safety Procedures.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST) are highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements

Must comply with client safety requirements (e.g., clean-shaven, long sleeves, steel-toe boots).

Must pass a physical exam if required.

Ability to:

  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces (e.g., towers, vessels, excavations)
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (use assistance for heavier loads)
  • Stand or walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel)
  • Wear a respirator and other PPE as required

## Work Location

  • Industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shops

## Mobility Barriers

  • Uneven ground
  • Obstructed pathways
  • Work at low and/or high elevations
  • Confined workspaces

## Environmental Conditions

Predominantly outdoor work with exposure to:

  • Extreme heat or cold
  • Humidity, rain, and other weather conditions
  • Loud noise from tools and machinery
  • Potential chemical exposure
