DevOps Tech Lead
As a DevOps Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal, high-visibility role in supporting global customers. Serving as the primary technical contact for critical escalations regarding DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and environment stability, you will bridge the gap between complex customer issues and internal engineering teams. You will diagnose root causes, drive rapid resolution, and ensure an exceptional platform experience.
We invest heavily in our talent. You’ll work with cutting-edge cloud architectures, solve complex high-stakes problems, and collaborate with a globally distributed, high-performing team.
What you’ll do for us
- Escalation Ownership: Act as the primary technical escalation point for customer issues concerning DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and environment operations.
- Technical Diagnosis & Support: Partner directly with customer technical teams to investigate, gather context, review logs, validate configurations, and diagnose root causes.
- Issue Translation & Triage: Translate complex customer challenges into actionable problem statements for DevOps, SRE, and software engineering teams, assessing severity and prioritizing resolution.
- Platform & Infrastructure Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of o9’s multi-cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment models.
- Customer Advocacy & Communication: Provide transparent, timely updates throughout the incident lifecycle, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Continuous Improvement: Track recurring trends and collaborate with leadership to recommend process, tooling, and architectural enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to continuously improve system reliability and the customer experience.
What you’ll have
Education & Experience
- Experience: 8+ years minimum of hands-on experience in a DevOps, deployment, or cloud/infrastructure operations role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Customer Engagement: Proven track record in customer-facing, high-severity escalation, or technical advisor roles.
Technical Skills
- Cloud & Containerization: Deep hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Kubernetes, and container environments.
- CI/CD & Operations: Strong experience managing CI/CD pipelines, production deployment, and infrastructure monitoring/logging tools.
- Troubleshooting: Proven ability to break down and resolve complex production issues within SaaS or cloud-native environments.
Core Competencies & Language
- Language: Fluent English (written and spoken) is required for daily collaboration with global teams and customers.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership & Resilience: Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and composure when navigating high-pressure incident situations.
