Primary Location: Pueblo, CO
Some sites not accessible by public transportation due to location and/or shift.
Wage: $20.00/HR
Schedule: Wed - Sat: 12PM - 8:15PM & Sun: 12PM - 6:15PM
The Retail Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:
- Greet vendors, customers, client employee’s, client, and aid as needed.
- Conduct internal patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
- Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to customers, and/or vendors.
- Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas and client systems.
- Provide an atmosphere in which all customers, client employees, client, and Management know their needs are being met.
- Present a good image to client, public, and Management.
- Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property.
- Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.
- Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to Asset Protection, client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
- Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
- Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
Basic Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Above average computer / technology skills needed.
- Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
- Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
- Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Appropriate I9 Identifications.
- Willingness to travel 25-30 miles to and from work.
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
- Understands the nature of customer service and interactions with the public.
- Must have swing shift availability.
- Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
- Must be able to interact with and greet customers, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Must be open to communication and feedback from client, and Office Management.
- Must be able to adhere to 15 minute, and lunch breaks.
- Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
- Must be able to obtain Pueblo Guard Card license out of pocket ($55) and renew it every year.
- In-Person Interview in Colorado Springs required for Pueblo location.
- If hired, must attend new hire orientation in Colorado Springs.
