Our innovative value-based care model prioritizes quality of care over volume of services right in our patients' communities. Backed by CVS Health, we offer extensive training and career growth opportunities for passionate healthcare professionals.

Role Description

As a Medical Scribe—known internally as a Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS)—you will serve as a vital clinical documentation assistant directly paired with primary care providers. You will participate in daily team huddles, observe patient encounters in real time, and manage clinical documentation so providers can give 100% of their focus to patient care.

Candidates should be willing to commit to at least 1–2 years in the role.

## Core Responsibilities

  • Direct Encounter Charting (~80%):
  • Accurately document patient visits in real time within the EMR (HPI, ROS, Assessment, Physical Exam, and Plan).
  • Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare After Visit Summaries.
  • Partner with providers to maintain precise, specific clinical notes.
  • Clinical Documentation Improvement (~10%):
  • Request and review external medical records.
  • Utilize population health tools to identify documentation improvement opportunities and prepare for daily team huddles.
  • Provider & Administrative Support (~10%):
  • Submit orders, referrals, and fulfill assigned clinical tasks.
  • Provide additional documentation support to keep clinic workflows running smoothly.

##

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of medical terminology and common medications (via degree coursework, certification, or clinical experience).
  • Strong computer literacy, active listening, and strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to commit to at least 1 year in the role (2+ years strongly preferred).
  • High dependability and predictable on-site attendance during standard clinic hours.
  • Full compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Valid US work authorization.

Strongly Preferred:
