We’re Hiring: Security Officer
📍 Location: Swindon
💷 Pay: £14.77 per hour
🕒 Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Nights)
⏰ Hours: 18:00 - 06:00 (Average 42 hours per week)

Join a leading global manufacturer of critical components for hydrogen fuel cells and PEM electrolysers. As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional security service to protect employees, visitors, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service. The Security Officer will ensure site security remains compliant with assignment instructions and customer requirements, maintaining the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and professionalism. A Security Officer plays a key role in supporting a safe and secure working environment at this innovative and technology-focused site.
Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols, site inspections, and monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems.
- Control access to the site, manage visitor and contractor procedures, and prevent unauthorised entry.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and security breaches, following escalation and evacuation procedures where required.
- Carry out searches, lock/unlock duties, key management, and traffic or parking control as required.
- Complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, handovers, and security records.
- Support health & safety procedures, identify hazards, and help maintain a safe and secure environment for people, property, and assets.
