Purpose:

The Parts Manager sells parts at retail to customers over the counter, through the shop, or by phone, ensuring excellent service and accurate order fulfillment.

Annual Range of Pay:

$75000 - $120000 per year

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion products, offer specials, and ensure exposure to the full product line.
  • Pull purchases from stock, determine availability for out-of-stock items, and submit emergency orders as requested.
  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and product information, and assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up and verify "will call" and "back order" files weekly.
  • Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs and process charge-outs by verifying repair order and parts requisition documentation.
  • Order parts not in stock after discussion with Shop Foreman to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Issue credit for returned parts with original invoice verification and process tax-exempt and credit card transactions per dealership guidelines.
  • Maintain clean and organized counter areas; replenish assigned inventory daily and stay current on new products.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures; immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
