Employer description
OTR Truck Driver – Solo + Mentor Option
Hiring Class A Drivers Within 90 Miles of Laredo, TX
Run Solo. Or Turn Your Experience Into More.
Looking for an OTR position that gives you options?
Experienced Class A drivers can run solo at $0.70 CPM or more or choose to become a Driver Mentor and earn additional compensation while training newer drivers.
Either way, you'll haul 100% no-touch freight with consistent OTR miles and home time between runs.
Prefer to Stay Solo?
No problem.
Solo drivers typically stay out 7–10 days at a time, then return home between trips.
You'll receive:
- $0.70 CPM or more, based on qualifying experience
- 100% no-touch freight
- Consistent OTR mileage
- Weekly pay
- Late-model equipment
- Year-round freight
- Additional performance incentive opportunities
Want to Increase Your Earning Potential?
Experienced drivers who qualify can choose to become a Driver Mentor.
You'll work one-on-one with newer CDL holders during their OTR training while continuing to run miles.
Mentor assignments typically last approximately 11 days, including an observation period and qualifying training days.
While actively mentoring, eligible drivers can earn:
$0.70+ CPM — base rate based on experience
+ $0.10 CPM — mentor pay
+ Up to $0.10 CPM — productivity pay
That creates the potential for $0.90+ CPM while actively mentoring, depending on experience, productivity, and applicable program requirements.
Additional incentive opportunities may also be available.
And mentoring doesn't have to be permanent — drivers may return to solo operation or take available home time between students.
What You'll Need
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 3 months of recent, verifiable tractor-trailer experience for experienced Solo/Mentor positions
- Live within 90 miles of Laredo, TX
- At least 21 years of age
- Meet applicable DOT and company qualification requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
New CDL Holder? There's a Path for You Too.
Qualifying new Class A CDL holders may be considered for available training opportunities.
New drivers complete initial training followed by OTR training with an experienced mentor and earn $0.35 CPM while training and building their first three months of qualifying experience.
After completing three months of qualifying experience, drivers may become eligible to upgrade to the standard solo pay structure beginning at $0.70 CPM, subject to applicable qualifications.
One Fleet. Two Ways to Drive.
Stay solo: $0.70+ CPM with no-touch OTR freight.
Become a mentor: Add mentor and productivity compensation while actively training.
