Chief Financial Officer
Benesch is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide executive leadership for the firm’s financial strategy, operations, and long term fiscal health. As a member of the Corporate Management Team, the CFO will partner closely with executive leadership and operational leaders to support sustainable growth, strengthen financial performance, and guide key business decisions.
The CFO will oversee the firm’s finance and accounting functions while providing strategic financial insight across the organization. This role will be responsible for financial planning and analysis, cash flow and capital management, financial reporting, risk management, regulatory considerations, and evaluating strategic business opportunities, including investments, contracts, and mergers and acquisitions.
The Impact You Will Have
- Lead the overall financial strategy and fiscal management of the organization
- Partner with the CEO, executive leadership, Board members, and operational leaders on financial strategy, performance, and business decisions
- Direct financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis across the organization
- Provide financial and operational performance reporting to leadership and shareholders
- Evaluate business performance and provide actionable financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions
- Oversee cash flow, borrowing, capital management, overhead, and financial risk
- Monitor regulatory, economic, and industry developments that may impact the organization
- Provide financial leadership in the evaluation of investments, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities
- Lead, develop, and oversee the finance and accounting organization
- Partner across the business to support organizational growth, operational performance, and long term financial objectives
- Participate as a member of the Corporate Management Team in establishing organizational strategy and evaluating performance against established objectives
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Executive level experience leading finance and accounting functions within a complex organization
- Advanced knowledge of financial management, business fundamentals, forecasting, financial analysis, and organizational performance
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial strategy to broader organizational goals
- Demonstrated experience advising executive leadership and influencing strategic business decisions
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate high performing professional teams
- Strong strategic thinking, judgment, and decision making capabilities
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and executive communication skills
- Active participation in relevant professional organizations and continued professional development encouraged
