POSITION NUMBER: 65044656 SALARY GRADE: NC08 RECRUITMENT RANGE: $43,500-$44,805 WORK LOCATION: SECRETARY OF STATE/ATLANTIC AVENUE LOCATION THE POSTING WILL CLOSE AT 11:59 P.M. THE NIGHT BEFORE THE END DATE
The primary responsibilities of this position include: the filing of UCC, Notary, and Land Records documents; indexing, proofing, and imaging required information from original documents; performing research for requested information; generating correspondence; examining and processing complex or unusual transactions; and ensuring compliance with required 72-hour transaction turnaround times.
This position could be assigned to any area of the Certification and Filing Division. Once trained, the person in this position may be required to provide basic training to new employees on a variety of daily tasks.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to adjust language or terminology to meet the needs of the customer, using correct grammar, organization, and structure.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to apply knowledge of data collection, storage, organization, manipulation and/or analysis of data.
- Ability to perform data entry, verifying, scanning and filing functions in both printed and electronic form in an accurate manner.
- Ability to learn the following procedures (dependent upon the section assigned to), process UCC, Federal Tax Lien filings, UCC Research requests, and process Notary applications.
Note: Management requires the candidates to take a typing test, with a passing score of 45 words per minute.
