1. Systems Engineering & Sustaining Support:

  • Technical Exposure: Gain exposure to high-purity acid, base, and solvent systems (pumped/gas pressured), as well as ultra-pure gases (inert, flammable, corrosive, and pyrophoric).
  • Equipment Familiarity: Learn about critical components such as Chemical Distribution Units (CDUs), Valve Manifold Boxes (VMBs), Gas Cabinets, and Cryogenic Tanks.
  • Water Treatment: Assist in understanding de-ionized and ultrapure water systems, including reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and ultrafiltration processes.
  • Engineering Analysis: Support the team in reviewing system capacity vs. demand, assisting with troubleshooting, and performing systems assessments to drive improvement roadmaps.
  • Documentation: Assist in the development and maintenance of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reliability Focus: Participate in reliability-driven tasks such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

2. Project Management Support:

  • Lifecycle Management: Support the engineering analysis, design, and installation oversight of chemical and gas distribution systems.
  • Scope & Execution: Assist with projects ranging from individual component installations (like a single VMB) to large-scale factory-wide distribution systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Learn how to coordinate with diverse engineering disciplines, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Construction & Commissioning: Assist in reviewing construction documentation (submittals/RFIs) and participate in the commissioning process to ensure equipment performs to design specifications.
  • Financial Awareness: Learn the business side of engineering by assisting with project financial tracking, including purchase orders and capital forecasts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a undergraduate or graduate degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in semiconductor manufacturing, industrial utility systems, or large-scale facility operations.
  • Basic understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, or chemical properties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
