Truline's, a well-backed Omaha-area plumbing company serving residential and commercial customers, is seeking a General Manager - Plumbing Operations to lead the business. This is a true operating-company leadership role for someone who can take ownership of people, revenue, margin, service performance, customer relationships, and culture while building stronger systems and accountability across the organization.

What You'll Do as the General Manager - Plumbing Operations:

  • Lead the day-to-day performance of an approximately 25-person plumbing operation
  • Own revenue, gross margin, labor productivity, job profitability, customer retention, and EBITDA performance
  • Manage service plumbing, small projects, excavation, water-line work, and related operations
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability across field and leadership teams
  • Coach frontline leaders and address underperformance directly
  • Improve employee engagement, communication, and operating discipline
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, field productivity, and service execution
  • Review larger jobs, estimates, pricing, and project selection
  • Help grow recurring service revenue and improve the quality of work pursued
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and support sales growth
  • Improve estimating discipline and margin protection
  • Manage through KPIs, operational scorecards, financial reporting, and productivity metrics
  • Partner with centralized finance, HR, marketing, and shared-services resources
  • Build stronger systems and processes in an operation that is still developing
  • Make independent decisions and solve problems without escalating every issue
  • Help shape the company's culture, standards, and future growth
  • Build a more scalable operating model as the business matures

Must-Haves as the General Manager - Plumbing Operations:

  • Strong plumbing industry experience or highly transferable service-trades operating experience
  • Significant leadership or management experience
  • Experience managing field employees
  • Strong understanding of service plumbing or closely related field-service operations
  • P&L and operational mindset
  • Strong understanding of gross margin and job profitability
  • Estimating capability
  • Customer-facing and commercial leadership experience
  • Experience generating or growing revenue
  • Comfort managing through KPIs, data, and financial metrics
  • Strong leadership presence
  • Ability to hold people accountable
  • Independent decision-making ability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in an environment that still needs systems and process improvement
