Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to identify, analyze, document, and prioritize business, functional, and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Lead feasibility studies and produce business models, business cases, usability requirements analysis, and evaluation to support strategic initiatives.
- Identify and raise issues that could impact the execution of strategic, operational, or project plans, providing timely recommendations for resolution.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, systems analysts, developers, and quality assurance analysts to ensure requirements are clearly stated, understood, and actionable.
- Oversee end-user testing, tracking progress, and ensuring timely defect resolution to meet quality standards.
- Present complex technical information in an understandable way to both technical and non-technical audiences, simplifying complex ideas to facilitate decision-making.
Position Purpose
To understand business requirements and processes and identify business technology and/or process & information opportunities, working with business and Technology Services
managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budgets.
Major/Key Accountabilities
- Elicits, analyses, and documents requirements (business, functional, and non-functional)
- Works with key stakeholders to prioritize requirements most beneficial to the business
- Ensures compliance with Global Technology Services strategies, enterprise architecture, and best practices as well as all relevant local/regional/global governmental regulations
- Reinforce the project goals and objectives to prevent scope creep/gold plating
- Recommends solution options which directly impact the success of a project or initiative
- Effectively communicates with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, systems analysts, developers, and quality assurance analysts to ensure requirements are clearly stated, buildable, and testable
- Oversees the successful completion of User Acceptance Testing, tracking testing progress and defect resolution
Experience
- 3+ years business analysis experience
- Experience within an IT focussed role
- Experience with Waterfall, Hybrid, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with the software delivery lifecycle
- Proven success in improving the customer experience
- Experience working within a matrix structure
- Experience working remotely with globally scattered users and teams
- Experience influencing others with limited/no direct authority
