Employer description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accounting Manager based in the United States.
The Accounting Manager will lead the day-to-day accounting operations of a mission-driven professional services organization. - Prepare recurring financial statements, management reports, budget-to-actual reporting, financial schedules, and supporting information for finance leadership.
- Support tax preparation and external audits by preparing reconciliations, workpapers, schedules, and requested financial information.
- Execute and monitor accounting policies, internal controls, approval procedures, documentation standards, and segregation-of-duties requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, automation, efficiency, documentation, and financial systems.
- Serve as the operational lead for accounting systems and support system implementation, testing, training, and process improvement initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting personnel, establish priorities and deadlines, review work for accuracy, and maintain cross-training and backup coverage.
- Partner with billing and other internal functions to resolve accounting issues and ensure reliable financial information.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, responsiveness, confidentiality, and continuous improvement across the accounting function.
