Team Overview

The team collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, and Training partners to ensure documentation aligns with product capabilities and user needs. This team operates within a cross-functional environment and supports scalable documentation practices across the organization.
This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end creation and maintenance of documentation for complex product features, APIs, integrations, and multi-system workflows.
- Drive business outcomes by improving documentation quality, usability, and scalability, enabling better customer experience and internal efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, SMEs, and Training teams to define documentation scope and deliverables.
- Translate complex, ambiguous, or incomplete technical inputs into clear, structured, and actionable documentation.
- Apply and refine structured content approaches (e.g., modular content, reusable components) to improve consistency and scalability.
- Continuously improve documentation standards, templates, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Perform content reviews and editing to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and usability across all documentation.
- Lead documentation efforts across multiple stakeholders, driving alignment on approach, scope, and timelines.
- Mentor junior writers, provide peer reviews, and contribute to elevating overall team quality and standards.
- Manage multiple documentation deliverables simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- 3–6+ years in Technical Writing or Technical Communication: Required to independently manage complex documentation projects from intake through publication.
- Knowledge of structured content practices and documentation frameworks: Essential for creating scalable, reusable, and consistent documentation.
- Experience working with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams: Critical for aligning documentation with technical requirements and business needs.
- Ability to analyze technical systems, workflows, and APIs: Enables translation of complex concepts into user-friendly materials.
- Strong editing and content review expertise: Ensures documentation accuracy, clarity, and usability for diverse audiences.
Required Technical Skills
- Documentation tools and publishing platforms (e.g., CMS – Content Management Systems).
- Knowledge of structured content methodologies (e.g., modular content, content reuse frameworks).
- Familiarity with APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and system workflows.
- Content organization and taxonomy principles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience improving documentation standards, templates, and scalable content frameworks.
- Strong ability to simplify complex technical workflows into user-centered content.
- Experience with mentorship, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Familiarity with taxonomy, content governance, and usability best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
