Employer description

U.S. Compliance: Searching for high-performing environmental professionals who want to make a difference. Join our fast-growing EHS compliance firm to help us CARE for people, PROTECT the environment and GROW our clients’ businesses.

U.S. Compliance is the industry leader in EHS compliance management and EHS consulting solutions, delivering OSHA/safety and environmental compliance expertise to industrial companies. We utilize a unique business model called Compliance as a Service (CaaS), and we’re the only firm built to deliver it. We’ve partnered with manufacturing clients for over 30 years, customizing our services to help them attain and sustain EHS compliance, acting as an extension of their existing team and resources while charging a monthly fee instead of project-based billing with hourly rates. U.S. Compliance is excited to grow our environmental regulatory team and need your expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating and preparing environmental permits, licenses, reports and plans, including EPCRA Tier II and SPCC plans, through detailed technical analysis
  • Analyze client technical data to determine applicability and compliance with EPCRA, SPCC and other environmental regulatory programs
  • Research and interpret EPA and state regulations as they apply to clients’ industrial operations and equipment
  • Manage departmental tasks independently with reduced support, and handle general divisional tasks with guidance
  • Maintain a full client load, including visit preparation, onsite evaluations, training and reporting, with moderate support
  • Conduct non-routine client visits of low complexity with moderate support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with primary environmental contacts, support basic agency inspections, and escalate enforcement cases and service impacts as needed
  • Collaborate with the U.S. Compliance team to meet environmental deadlines and manage projects effectively

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or a related science discipline
  • Understanding of local, state and federal environmental regulations and authorities
  • Developing ability to work independently on regulatory analysis and client service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Split time between regional client site visits (approximately 20%) and remote work (80%)
