ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitter A to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary, AB
The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems throughout our construction projects.
The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE are provided.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
- Running drain lines, plumbing lines, and Gas lines as well as installation of all plumbing related equipment.
- Installation of Boilers, hot-water tanks and furnaces.
- Replace valves and actuators
- Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule
- Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
- Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
- Class A Gas Fitter is required.
- Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to read drawings and blueprints
- Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
- Willing to travel
