The Manufacturing Programs Leader will be accountable for functional, manufacturing, and broad company objectives. In this role you will drive FLIGHT DECK (GE Aerospace’s Lean operating system). culture, manage complex manufacturing issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and be involved in both short and long-term planning to ensure the on-time delivery of new technologies. The charter for product operations is to ensure the manufacture and hardware delivery processes are established and work efficiently to ensure the intended schedule for a demo or test is met.

## Role Overview:

• Create and maintain part lists and manufacturing readiness actions aligned to hardware need dates
• Establish a strong operating rhythm across Engineering and Sourcing teams to track day-to-day execution and ensure critical actions are completed on time
• Identify risks and constraints to the plan through line-of-balance reviews and weekly operating meetings, and drive actions to prevent delays or support schedule pull-in opportunities
• Provide regular planning inputs to Program teams by consolidating estimated and committed lead times from Design Engineering and suppliers and translating them into integrated forward- and backward-looking schedules
• Coordinate communication between Engineering and suppliers to align design and manufacturing process flows, reduce waste, and minimize execution delays
• Support the Program teams for CPD (Concurrent Product Development) decisions and long lead item identifications
• Propose improvement ideas to reduce manufacturing cycle time by analyzing each production process step and critical to quality characteristics
• Strengthen communication between Sourcing and Engineering teams to reduce supplier-related compliance and execution risks
• Establish operational rhythm to keep track of the production status of each part in the part list and provide input to the Design daily management process
• Provide operational leadership for assigned engine/component programs, using sound engineering and manufacturing principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
• Translate program requirements (rate, configuration, milestones, customer commitments) into integrated manufacturing plans, including capacity, resources, and investment needs
• Lead cross-functional Program Operations reviews with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Materials, and Engineering, ensuring alignment on risks, constraints, and recovery plans
• Coordinate and monitor rate readiness, NPI industrialization, and configuration changes across factories and suppliers to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and Supplier Fulfillment to ensure processes, routings, and supplier capabilities are ready to support program ramps and design changes.
• Drive standard work and visual management for program execution, including operating reviews, control boards, and escalation routines, to improve execution discipline and transparency
• Monitor SQDC performance for assigned programs and lead structured problem-solving to address chronic issues (scrap/rework, escapes, recurring shortages, capacity bottlenecks)
• Serve as a presenter or reviewer in program, technical, and financial reviews, communicating clearly with program leaders, plant leadership, and customers as needed to support delivery of a quality product
• Stay current on operations and program management best practices related to new product introduction, rate changes, performance improvement, and cost reduction
• Serve as a key contributor in defining the manufacturing strategy and roadmap for assigned programs, including footprint, automation, and technology deployment
• Partner with operational excellence and Manufacturing teams to deploy lean practices that improve flow, stability, and waste reduction across the value stream
• Ensure accurate documentation of program risks, mitigation plans, and technical and operational data in accordance with engineering, manufacturing, and program management requirements
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across manufacturing sites and functions, reinforcing FLIGHT DECK as GE Aerospace's operating system.
• Define program plans and translate them into procurement and production requirements, milestones, and execution actions for assigned hardware. Lead milestone planning for improvement projects and work cross-functionally to deliver results
• Provide technical direction to a large design team for the RISE program, a revolutionary new engine concept with significant business impact, using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
• Provide manufacturing guidance on production practices, standards, development needs, and cost estimates to support key strategic decisions
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings including design engineering, quality, materials and manufacturing with a goal of defining requirements and standards for new designs
• Work collaboratively with Design and Systems Engineering teams, production and global sites to formulate technical solutions that align with long term business objectives
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and a FLIGHT DECK mentality within the manufacturing organization

The Ideal Candidate: is a strong manufacturing and program leader who can align cross-functional teams, manage program risks, and turn requirements into executable plans. They bring experience in regulated industries, strong technical and problem-solving skills, and a FLIGHT DECK mindset focused on delivery, quality, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Manufacturing or Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited University.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing operations, program management, or product line leadership within a regulated industry such as aerospace, defense, automotive, or medical devices. Experience in factory operations, production control, value stream leadership, or coordination of cross-functional activities such as NPI, rate ramps, or configuration changes is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in development hardware ownership and manufacturing of high-precision, turbomachinery components.
• Strong aptitude in mechanical design, ability to review drawings, understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and
• Product Definition, including reading and interpreting drawings.
• Experience with Aerospace manufacturing specifications
• Working experience with GE Aerospace quality system
• Strong influencing skills, including guiding others without a direct reporting relationship.
• Ability to execute new and unclear requirements & goal
• Ability to work in a matrix organization
• Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
