- Experience with avionics devices and protocols (RS-485, ARINC-685, FPGAs, GPS, INS, D38999 style connectors, etc.)
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-464D, DO-160G)
- Experience working with DC power systems (Batteries, Motors, Generators, etc.)
- Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Writing software in Python or similar for analysis or data review
- A bias towards action, and a willingness to work hands-on to make it happen

About The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Avionics Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of the next generation of hypersonic vehicles. As a Lead Avionics Engineer at Hermeus, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems for our hypersonic vehicles. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:

Requirements:

The salary range listed for this role is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including role scope and responsibilities, relevant experience, education and training, key skills, market data, and business needs.
