Oko West - Mechanical Material Coordinator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Mechanical Material Coordinator to join our team in Guyana at the Oko West Mine Site.

• Coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of mechanical equipment, materials, and spare parts to support construction and commissioning activities at the Oko West Mine Site.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of mechanical materials, ensuring timely availability and traceability in accordance with project requirements.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, construction, and mechanical teams to expedite material deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and minimize project delays.
• Verify that mechanical materials comply with technical specifications, purchase orders, and quality requirements, maintaining complete documentation and material tracking records.

Requirements

Minimum education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics and/or relevant experience in the construction mining industry.

Relevant experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical material coordination, warehousing, or logistics for gold mining construction projects. Additional skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and materials; proficiency with inventory management and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent); excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret technical documentation and material specifications.

Salary Range: Negotiable.

Employment Type: Temporary contract for the duration of the construction.

Working Hours: Rotation schedule: 23 of work followed by 19 days off.
