Direct Sales Representative - LEAF Commercial Capital

As a Direct Sales Representative, you'll play a key role in expanding client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering equipment financing and leasing solutions that help our customers achieve their goals.

This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and contributing to business growth in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do:

• Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including targeted prospecting and cold-calling efforts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors, helping identify opportunities to expand financing solutions and drive revenue growth.
• Partner with customers and vendors to understand business needs and recommend appropriate leasing and financing products.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the transaction lifecycle, ensuring a seamless experience from origination through booking and post-funding support.
• Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while providing responsive, high-quality service.
• Document sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress to support business development efforts.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure timely processing and resolution of financing requests.
• Support a culture of inclusion, teamwork, and customer focus that reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Adhere to all risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to research, analyze, and interpret information.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers and business partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, leasing, equipment finance, sales, or business development.
• Experience prospecting and developing new customer relationships.
• Knowledge of commercial lending, equipment finance, or leasing products.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $26.23 - $43.71 (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
