Position Summary
The SVP, Commerce is responsible for leading multiple client spokes, overseeing a portfolio of strategic accounts, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional client outcomes at scale. This role serves as a senior business leader accountable for client satisfaction, revenue growth, operational excellence, talent strategy, and organizational health across multiple teams.
This role acts as the connective leader between client teams, functional leadership, and executive stakeholders, ensuring resources, capabilities, and talent are aligned to support both current business needs and future growth opportunities.
## Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Client Leadership
- Own the health and performance of a multi-spoke client portfolio.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and commercial performance across all accounts.
- Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and expanded partnerships.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex client, operational, and organizational challenges.
Business Leadership
- Accountable for portfolio revenue, profitability, utilization, and growth targets.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that support business objectives.
- Drive resource planning and investment decisions to ensure scalability and operational efficiency.
- Lead forecasting, workforce planning, and capacity management across multiple spokes.
- Identify and address systemic risks, gaps, and opportunities across the portfolio.
Talent & Organizational Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of spoke leaders and senior managers.
- Build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives.
- Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
- Ensure teams have the skills, structure, and support needed to meet evolving client demands.
Operational Excellence
- Establish and enforce standards, processes, and governance across spokes.
- Drive consistency in client delivery, reporting, staffing, and performance management.
- Partner with functional leaders to improve workflows, capabilities, and service offerings.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and
scalability.
Growth & New Business
- Partner closely with commercial and growth teams to support new business
opportunities.
- Ensure readiness of talent, capabilities, and delivery models to support expansion.
- Contribute to pitch strategy, solution development, and executive presentations.
- Identify emerging market trends and client needs that can inform future service
offerings.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of leadership experience in client services, commerce, media, marketing, consulting, or related industries.
- Proven success leading large-scale client portfolios and multiple teams or business units.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue, profitability, and
operational performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and build high-performing organizations.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience navigating complex organizational environments and driving
transformational change.

$250,000 - $300,000 USD
