Taking our technical skills to customer sites, we’re responsible for everything from installation, configuration, and integration, through to maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Customers see us as a trusted liaison who can understand their precise needs on a host of admin and technical matters. We also work closely with our designers, solution managers, and sales specialists to provide solutions.

What you’ll achieve:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure complete customer satisfaction through prompt on-site arrival, technical expertise, and professionalism. Providing break fix, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions, which may include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver on-site technical support ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime
  • Apply technical support expertise to resolve customer issues
  • Drive engagement with customer onsite teams when necessary, providing guidance, training, or support on approved technical procedures, answering queries, and facilitating effective coordination for parts and equipment delivery or pickup
  • Work closely with peers, remote support and internal SMEs to increase knowledge and resolve customer issues
  • Use trouble-shooting tools, content and analytical practices to help determine best ways to resolve identified and unidentified problems
  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance and hardware PFRs per established procedures
  • Enforce safety, quality, and documentation guidelines during interventions
  • Orchestrate with logistics teams for expedited delivery of critical parts during high-priority outages; often managing multi-million dollars of inventory

Essential Requirements:

  • Hands-on expertise with Dell hardware (servers, storage, networking) and data center environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in interpreting system logs, diagnostic outputs, and performance data
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills and customer-first mindset
  • Willing to travel to customer sites as required across New Zealand at short notice
  • Flexibility to work overtime or alternative schedules when necessary, including on-call responsibilities
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 22kgs

Desirable requirements:

  • Willing to participate in New Zealand’s National security clearance process to Secret level
