Supply Chain Order Management Specialist

As a Supply Chain Order Management Specialist supporting our Supply Chain Planning team, you will be trusted to work on the global in‑ and outbound flow of products and fair‑share allocation to more than 100 countries at our Bornem Distribution Center.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to solve complex fulfillment and allocation challenges.
- Managing the daily deployment of released products, monitoring aging inventory, and preventing obsolete stock.
- Creating push orders for affiliates based on forecasts, inventory levels, in‑transit goods, lead times, and storage capacity.
- Setting priorities for QA, Warehouse, and Export teams to mitigate stockouts and backorders.
- Optimizing transportation modes and container utilization by combining incoming products from multiple suppliers.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; no specific field required.
- Experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, or a related operational environment.
- Strong technical skills: Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and previous SAP experience.
- Ability to analyze complex data, solve technical problems, and manage a steep learning curve.
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal); good understanding of Dutch is required, speaking/writing is a strong plus.
- A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
