Employer description

Molly’s Dog Care is looking for another experienced groomer/stylist to join our growing team!

Our grooming business has grown quickly since we opened, and we were recently voted Best Pet Groomer in Baltimore Magazine’s Best of Baltimore Readers’ Poll. We’re looking for someone who is excited to build their own loyal clientele while also helping us continue to grow Molly’s into one of the best grooming salons in Baltimore.

As a full-service dog care center offering daycare, boarding, grooming, and training, we have a large and growing base of dog parents already coming through our doors. That gives our groomers the opportunity to build a strong book of business very quickly while being part of a collaborative team that is passionate about dogs and great customer service. This is a commission-based, part-time position with the opportunity to grow into full-time at your pace. We have a ton of demand for grooming services, so you should be able to move up to full time quickly if you show great results with finished grooms, initiative in building your book, and demonstrate that you are a great team player.

Expectations

  • Provide high-quality grooming services for dogs

of all sizes and breeds.

  • Prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being

of each dog in your care.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both

dogs and their human companions.

  • Keep the grooming space clean, sanitary, and

organized.

  • Build and maintain a loyal clientele through

both your own efforts and Molly’s existing daycare, boarding, and training clients.

  • Help our Owner and Grooming team continue to

grow Molly’s grooming department and maintain our standing as the best in Baltimore.

  • Step in and help the rest of the team when you

are not busy. Our trainers help with baths, groomers help in the play yards and at the front desk, and everyone contributes to keeping the facility running smoothly. We are a team!

What We Offer

  • Performance-based compensation with the

opportunity to earn 85-90k (or even more) with tips

  • Part-time availability with the opportunity to

grow into full-time as demand increases. Full time options can be discussed if you are bringing a book of business.

  • A beautifully equipped grooming room with

everything you need, including a bathing tub, grooming tables, dryers, grooming products, and access to shared laundry facilities.

  • A front desk team to assist with scheduling and

client communication.

  • Access to 1000+ potential clients through our

daycare, boarding, and training businesses.

  • Marketing support to help build your book of

business.

  • A premium facility location with potential

customers just steps away.

  • The opportunity to play an important role in

the continued growth of Molly’s grooming business.

  • An owner who prioritizes dog and staff

wellbeing over profits.

  • A genuinely nice and appreciative customer base

to work with.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional grooming

experience and a current pet grooming certification.

  • Weekend availability is mandatory.
  • Comfortable grooming dogs of different breeds,

sizes, coat types, and temperaments.

  • A self-starter mentality and someone who is

eager to help us continue building one of Baltimore’s best dog care and grooming experiences.

  • A strong passion for dog grooming and the

desire to continue growing as a groomer and artist.

  • Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and teamwork

are as important to us as experience and talent.

  • Someone who treats every dog like family,

always keeping their safety and well-being top of mind.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to

collaborate professionally with our team and clients.

At Molly’s, we care just as much about how you work as the technical skills you bring to the table.

We are looking for team members who put the dogs first, take pride in their work, provide excellent customer service, take initiative, and are willing to step in wherever the team needs them. This is a great opportunity for a groomer who wants MORE than just a place to take appointments. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a strong clientele, contribute ideas, and help us continue growing a grooming business that ha already built significant momentum. If you’re passionate about grooming, take pride in your work, and want to be part of what we’re building at Molly’s. You may also include your website or Instagram, as long as it shows examples of your work!
