Job Description

JOB PURPOSE - To successfully executing the new projects, providing cost data for new offer and driving operational improvements of exiting sites.

KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Support with end-to-end technical guidance to all the sites.
  • Start up and stabilization of new project
  • Support all growth opportunities with assessing the job and providing cost data for commercial proposals.
  • Driving specific improvement/efficiency projects (asset utilization, manpower efficiency, productivity enhancements,
  • Improved overall asset maintenance and management of business KPIs on India asset management (OEE, Cost, SMU, people capability development, base work for TPM)
  • Co-ordinate with global engineering and project management team for ensuring best practices/ business development support.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Execute new site start ups
  • Drive operational improvement projects (productivity, OEE, efficiency)
  • Lead innovation to develop new asset solutions
  • Handling Oracle ERP system functioning and BI monitoring reports for Plant & Equipment dept. for continuous improvement
  • Drive continuous improvements in all the sites of Harsco India.
  • Review and advise the Regional Ops Director on all aspects of the maintenance budget for the region
  • Monitor equipment effectiveness, availability and condition
  • Ensure all mobile assets, new and existing are in place and can be utilised fully and profitably as required in the local businesses.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reporting to the Ops Director
  • Working closely with all site managers, asset managers and operations managers
  • Liaise with procurement and commercial for estimation /bidding

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/ metallurgical Engineering
  • 15 – 17 years of broad cross-functional experience in the metals industry
  • Work experience in maintenance, operations, projects
