Job Overview:

Job Summary**

The Zydeco-QHSE Technician will support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Primoris Renewable Energy's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) programs on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.

Job Responsibilities**

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues related to quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of QHSE training programs for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date QHSE documentation, including permits, records, and training logs.
  • Support the implementation of emergency response plans and participate in drills and exercises.
  • Collaborate with project management and site teams to integrate QHSE requirements into all project phases.
  • Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, spill prevention, and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of safety equipment.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through consistent communication and engagement with all personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QHSE Manager or project leadership.

Job Qualifications**

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within the construction or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPER) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver training and communicate complex information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites as required.
  • Physical ability to perform duties in various weather conditions and environments, including walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
