## Job Description
We are seeking a technically minded Technical Project Manager (TPM) to join our Fire Deployment delivery team. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager with oversight by the Head of Delivery, this role oversees all aspects of deploying Motorola Solutions' Guardian Suite of Control Room Products to strategic emergency services customers.
Acting as a subject-matter expert, you will bridge the gap between operational emergency response needs and complex software architecture. You will guide delivery strategy, coordinate cross-functional agile delivery teams including business analysts and deployment/quality assurance engineers, and manage end-to-end deployment workflows. Key Responsibilities
Project Governance & Commercial Leadership
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers (RAID logs), Requests for Change (RFCs), requirements documentation, contract changes, and financial tracking
- Compile, track, and update all commercial aspects and financial metrics related to assigned customer deployments
- Lead and coordinate agile delivery teams, including business analysts and deployment/quality assurance engineers, from contract award through deployment and customer sign-off
Solution Specification & Technical Strategy
- Ensure appropriate resourcing is assigned to capture and document customer operational requirements, performing in-depth business process and technical analysis
- Coordinate the production of solution specifications and system designs, agreeing on technical architectures with internal stakeholders and customer leads
- Oversee software development and testing schedules in alignment with agreed project timelines and quality benchmarks
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
- Act as the primary technical and operational point of contact for strategic customers regarding deployment and integration activities
- Manage customer relationships effectively through structured remote engagement and on-site visits across UK customer locations
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure tasks are completed within defined project scope, quality standards, and timeframes
## Basic Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Project Management, or an engineering discipline
- Solid experience managing the delivery of large, complex software solutions to major enterprise or public sector customers
- Ability to obtain NPPV3 security clearance requiring UK residency

- Technical Requirements Analysis to capture business processes and translate operational needs into solution specifications
- Complex Software Architecture to evaluate infrastructure dependencies and communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders
- Language Proficiency to demonstrate an excellent command of English in written and verbal technical communications
Professional Experience
- Technical Stakeholder Engagement to build trust, manage key customer expectations, and lead matrixed project resources
- Virtual Team Leadership to motivate and guide cross-functional project teams across engineering, QA, and business analysis
- Project Governance to maintain project documentation, RAID logs, financial tracking, and change control mechanisms
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Agile or Waterfall project management certification (or actively working towards certification)
- Direct experience with UK blue-light (police and fire) Control Room operations, mobilisation solutions, or software deployment to emergency services
