About the role
In Helsingborg, we design and build large-scale industrial equipment used primarily for freezing and chilling of food products. Our systems combine advanced refrigeration technology with specialized airflow, heat transfer, conveying, and mechanical solutions to create equipment for some of the world's biggest food producers.
You will be part of the Innovation department, a multidisciplinary team consisting of Development Engineers, Technical Project Managers, and technical specialists working together to drive New Product Development (NPD) projects. In this collaborative environment, you will contribute both independently and as part of cross-functional project teams, working closely not only with colleagues within Innovation, but also with Manufacturing, Service, Sales, Supply Chain, and other functions across the organization to transform customer and business needs into innovative technical solutions.
What you will do
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through validation and implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Develop and improve products, systems, and technical solutions for industrial freezing applications.
- Investigate complex technical challenges and propose innovative, practical solutions.
- Define development plans, objectives, and validation activities together with cross-functional teams.
- Design, execute, and evaluate tests on concepts, prototypes, and new product features.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, reports, and engineering drawings.
- Support project planning by tracking development activities, milestones, and technical deliverables.
- Work closely with manufacturing and service teams to ensure successful implementation of new solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Support and share knowledge with colleagues across the organization.

You are an engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and turning ideas into practical solutions. You combine analytical thinking with creativity and are comfortable working independently while collaborating across functions. You are curious, hands-on, and motivated by seeing your developments tested and implemented in real industrial applications.
Hard Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working with industrial equipment, machinery, or complex engineered systems.
- Experience in product development, engineering design, or technical project work within industrial equipment or manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with 3D CAD modeling tools; experience with PTC Creo is considered an advantage
- Ability to analyze technical problems and develop structured solutions.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
