Supplier Quality Engineer
Technical Knowledge & Qualifications Strong commodity knowledge in: PCBA, Wire Harnesses and Cable Assemblies, Solenoids, Transducers, Sensors, Electro-Mechanical Components and Assemblies(Motor, Transformers & coils)
Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, ICT, FCT, conformal coating, inspection methods, and supplier quality systems.
Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and quality standards. Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic assemblies and PCB manufacturing.
IPC Certification (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001) & Gerber files will be an added advantage.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or equivalent quality management systems.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics).
7-8 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Development, or Quality Assurance within manufacturing industries.
Proven experience managing suppliers and driving measurable quality improvements across global supply chains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Supplier Performance: Evaluates supplier quality metrics and conducts regular assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Resolve Quality Issues: Identifies root causes of supplier related quality problems and implements effective corrective actions.
- Enhance Quality Processes: Collaborates with suppliers to develop and improve quality control procedures that meet customer and company requirements.
- Maintain Quality Documentation: Prepares and manages detailed reports and records related to supplier quality performance and compliance.
- Facilitate Cross Functional Communication: Works with internal teams such as procurement and engineering to align on quality standards and address supplier concerns.

- Problem Solving: Adept at identifying quality issues and developing effective solutions to enhance supplier performance.
- Technical Documentation: Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed quality documentation, including inspection reports and audit findings.
- Communication: Excellent ability to convey complex quality information clearly to suppliers and internal teams.
- Auditing: Skilled in conducting supplier quality audits to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Experienced in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance supplier quality and operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledgeable in relevant industry standards and regulations to ensure supplier adherence and compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Effective at collaborating with cross functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
