Senior Engineer, IQC

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Incoming quality control management, develop, update, and maintain incoming inspection plans, sampling standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incoming raw materials
• Discrepancy Handling: Manage Material Review Board (MRB) processes, disposition defective incoming parts, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and coordinate Return to Vendor (RTV) action
• Monitor incoming quality metrics (PPM, lot acceptance rates) and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with key component suppliers
• Participate in supplier quality audits, process evaluations, and new supplier qualification assessments to ensure robust manufacturing controls at the source
• IQC area daily work management, and tools maintenance.
• Work closely with Design, R&D, and Process Engineering teams to review material specifications, blueprints, and engineering change notices

Education & Experience

• 5+ years working experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or IQC within a high-tech manufacturing, electronics, or optics environment
• BD in Material Science, physics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline

Skills

• Demonstrated hands-on experience dealing with precision components (optical, mechanical, or electrical parts)
• Proficient in reading complex engineering drawings, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experiences of handing quality issue, evaluation and monitoring performance of suppliers
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently and to coach junior engineers
• Good coordination, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills, good oral and written English
• Strong mastery of quality management tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Root-Cause Analysis.

Working Conditions

• Works in standard office/manufacturing environment.
