So, what will the Maintenance Trades Helper at Terrestris do?

As the Maintenance Trades Helper, you will assist skilled tradespeople such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and general maintenance workers in performing repair, installation, and maintenance tasks. This position involves manual labor, use of hand tools, and basic mechanical and technical work under direct supervision.

What does a typical day look like for the Maintenance Trades Helper?

You will:

  • Assist trades staff with routine maintenance and repair of

buildings, equipment, and systems.

  • Carry tools, materials, and supplies to and from job sites.
  • Prepare and clean work areas before and after tasks.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Perform simple tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging

drains, or assembling / repairing furniture.

  • Assist with inspections and testing of equipment and systems.
  • Load and unload equipment or materials from trucks or storage

areas.

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective

equipment.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops and

storage areas.

  • Report any hazards, malfunctions, or needed repairs to

supervisors.

  • Perform limited snow removal in common

use areas.

  • Mow grass and weed areas within the

LSA’s perimeter fence and Entry Control Point.

  • Trim grass and weeds around trees,

shrubs, buildings, tents, fences, poles, posts, fire hydrants, parking lot bumpers, boulders, and all other fixed objects that project above the ground.

  • Remove Debris and Litter from the

Grounds.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:

  • The ability to work in the U.S. permanently

without sponsorship.

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of seven

(2) years of experience in general maintenance.

  • Practical skills

in and working knowledge of general maintenance trades.

  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new

skills quickly.

  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and

effectively.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically

demanding environments.

  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
