Location Overview Join our team in Aman Tokyo. From the heights of the Otemachi Tower, Aman Tokyo tempers urban dynamism with a profound atmosphere of serenity. Inspired by Japanese design tradition, with ikebana displays, washi paper doors and engawa platforms, the vast lobby, ryokan-style rooms and Aman Spa are all among the city’s largest.
Role
Under the direct supervision of the Hotel Manager, Director of Spa & Wellness is responsible for the entire Spa and Wellness operations and administrations, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction in accordance with the Policy and Procedure and Standard Operating Procedures Manual and Guideline established by the hotel or the corporate office.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities for financial budget and analysis, including the development annual budgets for spa.
- Development of the facility's financial operating assumptions. Planning business model, budget and staffing.
- Ensures that all areas within responsibility operate in line with maximizing profit while delivering on the excellence in product and service.
- Practice timely guest complaint handling and follow up to make sure guest satisfaction and recovery.
- Control the cost of purchasing and office supplies. Maintain strong relationship and goodwill with suppliers and third party contractors.
- Celebrate guests’ occasions like birthday and anniversary by preparing cards, letters, email, and gifts.
- To meet and greet a certain number of arriving and departing guest per day, especially Aman Club Tokyo members and repeaters.
- Recruitment, development and training of all spa departments. Oversee Effective scheduling of all services and special programming.
- Development and adherence of Standard Operating Procedures Manual. Ensure monthly departmental communication meetings are effective.
- Ensure that all employees follow safety and emergency procedures and practices. Ensure employees have a complete understanding the hotel's policy relating safety.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Spa Manager in the hospitality industry.
- Fluency in English and Japanese, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven team leadership and people management skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
