Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on and process-driven Warehouse - Senior Assistant Operations to oversee daily warehouse operations in an automotive parts environment. The role involves supervising teams, ensuring adherence to SOPs, and maintaining operational efficiency across inbound, storage, and outbound functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Supervision:
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch of automotive components.
- Ensure timely execution of tasks as per shift plans and production schedules.
- Monitor material flow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Oversee handling of various automotive SKUs such as fasteners, electricals, body panels, and assemblies.
- Ensure correct packaging, labeling, and binning as per defined standards.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO and ensure traceability of parts through batch/serial tracking.
Team Management:
- Lead a team of warehouse associates, forklift operators, and pick-pack staff.
- Conduct shift briefings, assign tasks, and ensure discipline and safety compliance.
- Train team members on SOPs, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
Inventory & System Accuracy:
- Ensure accurate system entries in WMS/ERP for all stock movements.
- Support cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and bin audits.
- Maintain documentation and shift-wise reports for operational transparency.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety norms and ensure use of PPE across the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S principles.
- Report incidents, damages, or equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Should be a Graduate and preferred to have in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Working knowledge of WMS/ERP systems and barcode scanning tools.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Good to have :
- Experience in high-volume, multi-shift warehouse environments.
- Familiarity with lean warehousing practices and continuous improvement tools.
