Lecturer in History (Modern European History)

The Department of History at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for one 4-credit course in the subfield of Modern European History to be offered in Spring 2027. The course would be offered as HIST 52b Europe in the Modern World. This is an introductory level History course.

Candidates with a PhD in History, whose knowledge and research have focused on the History of Europe since 1789 will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is October 10.

This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.

The compensation for this course is $8764.20.
