This role leads training program development using an agile training methodology, including research, development, delivery, and evaluation at each stage. The Senior Training Specialist collaborates and coordinates with business managers to ensure training program resources, including subject matter experts, are appropriately allocated.
The role also evaluates and utilizes industry training trends to design and develop innovative training courses and materials designed for new and existing Financial Sales Associates that meet the strategic objectives of the business unit.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead training execution of new and existing FSAs
- Work directly with training liaisons and business managers to plan and execute learning events; advise on deliverables and deadlines.
- Conduct training needs and skill gap analyses.
- Work closely with the distributor leadership and key stakeholders to provide cost-effective, timely, and appropriate learning solutions.
- Design innovative training program materials incorporating adult learning theory.
- Research and recommend new training technologies, as available.
- Assist in overall new program design with oversight from the manager or consultant, design training modules.
- Provide professional judgment in evaluating and recommending training options, tactics, and programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of training experience in the insurance industry.

- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with training needs analysis, job analysis, performance development, and curriculum development.
- Ability to diagnose and recommend training solutions based on business objectives and initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of business unit systems and all functional business areas.
- Demonstrated consistent use of good judgment and professionalism when dealing with sensitive, confidential matters.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple large projects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of employees.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change.
