- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers, using market intelligence and cost analysis to secure best-in-class value.
- Build and maintain detailed cost models and competitive benchmarks to inform sourcing and negotiation decisions.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation, and continuity of supply, proactively resolving risks or disruptions.
- Present sourcing strategies and cost/performance updates to senior leadership, and collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Supplier Quality to resolve issues quickly.
Qualifications
You'll have...
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement, with meaningful exposure to negotiation, contract management, or project leadership. Battery and Power Electronics group, driving end-to-end commercial accountability for these critical commodities.
Skills & Tools:
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and procure-to-pay software (e.g., SAP, Ariba, or similar industry-standard platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong track record leading or contributing to cross-functional teams with measurable results.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
