In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI, and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job. The TMG Development program is a 12-month program for new college graduates in the TMG organization.
Texas Instruments is looking for the right individual to become a Health and Safety Specialist for our company. If you have a passion for promoting a positive safety culture and a knowledge of job site safety requirements coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion dollar organization, this may be the position for you!
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards
- Identify the site EHS training needs and coordinating to organize the training programs
- Assist in the accident/incident investigation and recommend improvement/preventive measures
- Maintain a documentation system to keep corporate and mandatory EHS rules/regulations, communication materials, inspection and audit reports to ensure that the major activities are properly documented according to needs
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to site by leading safety committee team and meetings
- Provide engineering leadership and support for EHS regulatory interpretations and EHS considerations for management of change
- Act as site industrial hygiene coordinator for chemical, noise and food responsibilities
- Provide leadership for site EHS programs such as but not limited to fall protection, LOTO, machine guarding, ventilation, management of change, contractor safety, confined space, radiation safety, chemical safety and respirator
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- BS degree in occupational health, safety or relevant field
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
