Job Description Summary

The Regional Director of Operations is a leadership role responsible for the operations, clinical, and financial performance of a subset of value-based primary care practices within a region. The Regional Director of Operations will manage multiple practice locations, ensuring the successful execution of operational and strategic goals, with full P&L responsibility. This role will also focus on fostering a positive practice culture, improving clinical outcomes, ensuring patient satisfaction, and meeting financial objectives.

The Regional Director of Operations will partner with the other leaders and senior leadership to drive the implementation of strategies that enhance value-based care performance and patient care. This position will have oversight of practice administrators, staff training, and performance management, including key value-based care metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with providers and staff to foster open communication and collaborative efforts.
  • Leads the operational strategy and execution of value-based care programs across the market, practices, and provider networks.
  • Conduct regular practice meetings to maintain alignment with corporate values and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Vice President (RVP) to construct and oversee the regional practice budget.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and clinical data to identify gaps in care, utilization trends, financial opportunities, and areas of improvement.
  • implements strategies to optimize practice performance, focusing on value-based care initiatives.
  • Develops and monitor performance against key metrics including quality, utilization, cost of care, patient outcomes, preventative care, risk adjustment, and financial performance.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of value-based care programs, adjusting strategies to optimize patient outcomes and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with the corporate integration and operations teams to manage region-specific integrations, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
  • In partnership with the Market President and Regional Vice President of Operations, develop an annual strategy for the region with a focus on successful implementation and execution.
  • Identify and integrate best practices to enhance value-based care performance and patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance meetings, establish annual goals, and provide comprehensive performance appraisals.
  • Address performance-related concerns consistently and fairly.
  • Leads implementation of new value-based care contracts, workflows, technology, and operational initiatives.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction and implement improvements to service delivery as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, and industry standards across all practices.
  • Utilize data analytics to track performance against key value-based care metrics, such as readmission rates and patient outcomes.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives based on data insights to drive ongoing enhancements in care quality.
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Healthcare field, Life Sciences, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on analysis and program implementation. Experience working in value-based primary care is preferred.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • Proficient in common Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong understanding of value-based care and experience guiding providers and staff to improve VBC performance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and providers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to drive change and overcome operational challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in patient care.
  • Ability to work closely with corporate executives, regional vice presidents, practice leadership, corporate teams, and clinical and administrative staff.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Location specifications

  • Travel will be based around one of the following locations: South Bend, Indianapolis, and West Lafayette.

Compensation Range:

$81,492.00

to

$122,238.00

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
