Operation Shoestring is a community-based nonprofit in Jackson, Mississippi that provides year-round out-of-school-time (afterschool and summer) programming for children along with parent and family support services. Founded in 1968 in response to racial and political divisions, it works to create greater equity and opportunity for children, families, and the community.
