Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer to join our technology team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, scalability, automation, security, and performance of our production infrastructure. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, databases, monitoring, networking, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, upgrade, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Manage cloud environments across AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and/or Alibaba Cloud.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and environment provisioning.
• Manage production databases and middleware, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Elasticsearch, and message queues.
• Implement database high availability, backup, recovery, performance optimization, and sharding solutions.
• Design and maintain multi-region and multi-cloud disaster recovery solutions and conduct recovery testing.
• Configure and optimize Cloudflare, network connectivity, traffic routing, and related infrastructure.
• Implement cloud security hardening, access controls, and infrastructure protection measures.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems.
• Participate in on-call support, troubleshoot production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
• Maintain operational procedures and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, infrastructure, or systems operations.
• 3+ years of hands-on production Kubernetes experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Hands-on experience with at least two cloud platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Production experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL high availability, backup/recovery, and performance optimization.
• Experience managing Redis, Nginx, Elasticsearch, message queues, and similar infrastructure components.
• Experience with database sharding solutions such as ShardingSphere or MyCat.
• Ability to develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Go.
• Practical experience with disaster recovery, network optimization, and cloud security.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and work on-site in Dubai.
• Good English reading and writing skills, with the ability to handle daily technical communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chinese/Mandarin proficiency is preferred due to regular communication and collaboration with Chinese-speaking team members.
• Experience with high-traffic internet platforms, fintech, financial services, or payment systems.
• Experience with international or multi-region infrastructure deployments.
• Experience with GitOps, service mesh, distributed tracing, or advanced Cloudflare features.
• Experience with AIOps, LLMs, AI Agents, or AI applications in infrastructure and operations.
• Backend development or internal DevOps/platform development experience.
• Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, networking, or security certifications.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, team management, or security compliance experience.
