About the role

Use your expertise in creating Swedish pedagogical materials to help improve how millions of people learn languages on Duolingo!

Duolingo is looking for a skilled Swedish pedagogy specialist who has experience teaching Swedish to speakers of other languages and crafting instructional materials. This is a temporary freelance position (no benefits included). All work will be conducted remotely and hours are flexible.

You can expect 12-15 hours of work per week for approximately 13 weeks.

🧠You will…

• Use your pedagogical expertise to adapt existing course content for an online Swedish course for speakers of other languages.
• Review, edit, and proofread pedagogical materials in Swedish.
• Occasionally consult on pedagogy using your expertise as a native Swedish speaker.
• Help streamline the content development process.

✔️ You have…

• Native speaker level proficiency in Swedish.
• Several years of experience teaching Swedish as a second language.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Comfort working in digital tools such as Google Docs and spreadsheets.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work up to 15 hours per week through mid-October.
