Appliance Technician – Full-Time
Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Appliance Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for a skilled, self‑motivated professional who can diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of household appliances while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work independently in the field, using your technical expertise to troubleshoot issues efficiently and ensure every customer receives reliable, high‑quality service.

This is a remote position, but you must reside in the Flint area and be able to travel to the office multiple times a week.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Field Work
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and performance issues in major household appliances.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks to ensure optimal appliance operation.
- Operate and maintain a company-provided work van, transporting tools, equipment, and parts to job sites.
- Read, interpret, and apply information from schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Stay current on appliance technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding repair needs, service options, and maintenance recommendations.
- Provide honest, accurate assessments and ensure customers understand the work being performed.
- Maintain a positive, respectful demeanor in all customer interactions.
Documentation & Team Collaboration
- Record all service calls, diagnostics, repairs, and parts used with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work with team members and management to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair or a closely related technical field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, HVAC fundamentals, and mechanical repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain reliable transportation for fieldwork.
Experience Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing household appliances.
- Experience working independently in the field is highly desirable.
- Comfort using diagnostic tools, meters, and repair equipment.
