Job Summary
Columbia Woodlands is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will help provide guests with a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment by maintaining guest rooms and common areas to the highest standards. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, have a strong eye for detail, and enjoy delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, suites, and common areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces following established safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels, toiletries, and room amenities.
- Dust, polish, and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain floors and carpets.
- Clean windows, blinds, and other room furnishings as needed.
- Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and towels.
- Restock housekeeping and cleaning supplies.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and steamers safely and efficiently.
- Identify and report maintenance issues or repair needs promptly.
- Ensure all rooms and facilities meet Columbia Woodlands’ quality standards.
- Provide friendly, professional service to guests and work collaboratively with team members.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or a related cleaning role preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation practices, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, professional, and trustworthy.
- Ability to bend, lift, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Experience leading or supporting a housekeeping team is a plus.
