Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. If you have a strong mechanical and electrical background, enjoy troubleshooting equipment, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently while supporting continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on plant and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and production equipment issues.
- Maintain auxiliary equipment including air compressors, ventilation systems, dust collection systems, cooling systems, and power systems.
- Assist with equipment cleanouts during product changeovers.
- Work closely with production personnel and automation staff to resolve equipment failures.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Execute electrical and electronic maintenance tasks.
- Maintain an organized spare parts inventory.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Utilize 6S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Provide production support and serve as backup to the production team when needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support off-shift maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- College training in industrial maintenance or 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance documentation and equipment manuals.
- Willingness to provide on-call support outside of regular working hours.
- Industrial electrical and electronic experience preferred.
- Siemens PLC experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around production equipment.
