Opportunity Overview We follow an office policy with an expectation of five days per week working onsite. The Public Affairs Manager will support POP MART's public affairs, government relations, policy monitoring, and external stakeholder engagement efforts in the U.S. This role will help build and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry organizations, chambers of commerce, and other key stakeholders while monitoring legislative and regulatory developments that may impact our business.

This position will work closely with regional and global teams to identify emerging risks, support business initiatives, and help POP MART navigate the regulatory and public affairs landscape as we continue to expand our retail presence across the U.S.

What You Will Achieve

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry organizations, chambers of commerce, and other relevant institutions.
  • Develop relationships within markets where POP MART currently operates or plans to expand its retail presence.
  • Support day-to-day public affairs and government relations matters impacting POP MART's U.S. business and retail operations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to help address regulatory, government, and community-related matters that may impact business operations, new store openings, and expansion.
  • Support key corporate initiatives and strategic projects in partnership with regional and global teams.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local legislative, regulatory, and policy developments that may impact POP MART and its operations.
  • Identify emerging regulatory, operational, and reputational risks and provide timely insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analysis on public policy and regulatory matters affecting retail, consumer products, designer toys, and related industries.
  • Translate complex legislative and regulatory developments into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Represent POP MART in relevant industry meetings, working groups, discussions, and external forums.
  • Support local ESG, community engagement, and corporate responsibility initiatives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in public affairs, government relations, public policy, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. legislative, regulatory, and public policy environment at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to assess policy and regulatory developments and determine potential business impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to manage sensitive, complex, or rapidly evolving matters.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, global organization.
  • Ability and willingness to travel based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, chambers of commerce, or other public-sector stakeholders.
  • Experience within retail, consumer goods, lifestyle, entertainment, designer toys, or another consumer-facing industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory matters affecting retail operations, consumer products, imports, customs, or business expansion.
  • Experience supporting ESG, corporate responsibility, or community engagement initiatives.
  • Mandarin or Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Genuine interest in POP MART, designer toys, consumer culture, and the broader entertainment and lifestyle industry.

Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated or at a desk) for extended periods while operating a computer or other office equipment. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Pay Range Details The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 annually. This range is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws and may vary based on geographic location. Individual compensation will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's incentive compensation program.
