Logistics Coordinator
Full-time (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Specialist, Brokerage Operations to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating freight movements throughout North America while building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving profitable growth.
The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between customers, carriers, brokerage operations, and asset-based transportation solutions. This position combines operational excellence with a strong commercial focus, requiring the ability to protect and improve revenue, increase margins, expand existing customer relationships, and generate new sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, results-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment while maintaining accountability for service performance, profitability, and growth.
How You’ll Help:
- Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and grow a profitable book of business through customer acquisition and account expansion.
- Identify opportunities to increase transportation revenue and margin through strategic pricing and service offerings.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships that drive repeat business and long-term growth.
- Partner with internal sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Provide competitive and profitable pricing solutions while adhering to established pricing principles.
- Promote available transportation solutions, including flatbed, over-the-road, intermodal, and brokerage services.
- Support sales initiatives aimed at increasing load volume, revenue generation, and overall profitability.
- Operations & Customer Service
- Receive, review, and process customer transportation requirements.
- Source, secure, and coordinate freight movements across North America.
- Match customer requirements with appropriate transportation solutions and carrier capacity.
- Coordinate carrier bookings and manage shipments from pickup through delivery.
- Track and trace shipments while proactively communicating shipment status updates.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including load tenders, bills of lading, customs documentation, and shipment records.
- Maintain exceptional service levels while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively through collaboration with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Escalate service concerns appropriately and ensure timely resolution.
- Brokerage & Capacity Management
- Source and broker flatbed, FTL, LTL, and specialized freight opportunities.
- Work closely with operations and asset teams to maximize fleet utilization and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved carrier partners.
- Understand seasonal market conditions, transportation trends, and capacity fluctuations to make informed decisions.
- Utilize carrier networks to optimize service, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of flatbed equipment types and transportation capabilities.
- Relationship Management
- Foster strong working relationships with customers, carriers, sales representatives, dispatch teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Demonstrate professionalism, responsiveness, and positive energy in all interactions.
- Provide customers with transportation expertise and solution-oriented recommendations.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer supply chain needs and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Transportation, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CITT, CTB, SCMP, or equivalent are considered assets.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in transportation, freight brokerage, logistics, flatbed operations, or third-party logistics (3PL).
- Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships and transportation operations.
- Proven ability to contribute to revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer retention.
- Experience with flatbed transportation is considered a strong asset.
- Strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Experience with transportation management systems and brokerage platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
